How Can I Help The Network Help Others?
Your contributions make it possible for The Special Needs Network
(a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization) to provide information
and materials to an ever-growing community of families of individuals
with disabilities. The 2000 Census identified 1 in 5 individuals
as having some level of disability and 1 in 10 individuals as having
a level of disability great enough to require care for the rest
of their lives. And this number will continue to grow with advances
in medical science, which make it possible for infant survival which
never before existed.
Whether you are a parent, a sibling, a caregiver, a member of a
support group or a business, there are many different levels of
opportunity to help us provide this critical special needs planning
information to others who need it.
